ALL IN ONE SPOT: Say "Hello" to our updated school app. Rooms will be the new communication app for our students, parents, teachers, and coaches this year. This will replace Sports You, Group Me, Class Dojo, and individual text messaging. All students and parents can download the app on the App Store or Google Play. Turn on notifications to make sure you receive the latest updates that are sent.

Peetz School will have two Board of Education positions open for election in November 2025. Petitions will be available for pick up in the school office during regular business hours starting August 6 which must be completed and turned in by August 29. Hello Bulldog Families! My name is Soni Schilz, and I’m excited to return to the Peetz community—this time as your 1st grade teacher! Some of you may know me from my time teaching 3rd grade here at Peetz, and I’m truly honored to be welcomed back as part of this educational team developing exceptional learners.
This year marks my 18th year in education and my 5th year teaching 1st grade. I am passionate about creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. I believe in meeting each child where they are and helping them grow into confident, independent learners through curiosity, creativity, and kindness.
I’m married and have three sons, all of whom are proud graduates of Peetz! Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time in nature—soaking up sunshine, walking our two dogs or relaxing with family at our home at Lake McConaughy.
I am so looking forward to getting to know our amazing students and families and to making this an incredible year together. Go Bulldogs!

My name is Emma Wood. This will be my 7th year in education, but first year in preschool. I just got married in June, I love to craft, and enjoy exercising. I look forward to meeting all of the new families and building relationships with them. I am excited to be a Peetz Bulldog and have an amazing school year.
My name is Alyssah Hahn. I just recently got married to my best friend this summer. I have worked with children birth through kindergarten for over 15 years now. I enjoy bird watching and tending to my garden. And I have 4 wonderful pets that I love with all my heart.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Pittsburg State University and a diploma in Baking and Pastry (yes—I love sweets and sharing them, too!).
I grew up in Olathe, Kansas, and after a wonderful chapter in northeastern Colorado, my family and I settled in Sidney, Nebraska in 2021. I live here with my husband Joe and our almost-three-year-old daughter, Olivia, who keeps life lively and full of giggles.
Outside the classroom, you’ll find me baking up something cozy, tending to my garden, or squeezing in a chapter of a good book (usually during nap time, if it happens!). I believe in making learning hands-on, meaningful, and fun—and I can’t wait to get to know your amazing kids and help them discover skills they’ll carry with them for life.

Enter on the south side of the school, farthest door to the west (new parking lot). We are excited to open this section of the building up to our community! You'll be able to scope out the entry way, weight room and small gym. Please respect the construction process and do not proceed beyond the barrier leading into the main building.
