FFA MEMBERS SHINE: Six members from the Peetz FFA Chapter ventured south to Pueblo to attend the 96th Colorado State FFA Convention in early June. While in Pueblo, members enjoyed local attractions, attended convention sessions, and enjoyed lots of tasty food around town! Our very own Jacob Hawkins was awarded his State FFA Degree and had the honor of being receiving his award during the last session. Members in attendance had a lot of fun and it was a great way to wrap up another amazing year as a chapter!

Swimming Pool Transportation: June 20th leaving @ 12:45 PM, returning @ 4:45 PM. Pick up and drop off at the Peetz Park due to school construction. Open to the Peetz Community, kids younger than 10 must have a parent/chaperone ride with them. Text Theresa if your kids/you are riding so she can plan accordingly 970-466-4557. Swimming will take place at the Sterling Rec Center. This is transportation only, individuals are responsible for pool admission. New posts will go out weekly with what day(s) the bus will run!

2024-25 School Calendar: Reminder we start later this year due to the building project. You can always add the school calendar to your personal digital calendars or phones using the .ics links on our calendar page. We have 2 google calendars available - Main Peetz School and Peetz Youth Activities. The main school calendar has all the events for k-12 and athletics updated. The Peetz Youth Activities allows for us to schedule and reserve locations for youth sports like volleyball, football, and basketball. The proposed 2024-2025 Plateau School District RE-5 preliminary budget has been submitted to the Board of Education and is available for public inspection. The budget is available by contacting the district administrative office by phone at 970-334-2361.
The Board of Education will consider the adoption of the proposed budget at a hearing to be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 6:00pm. Any interested taxpayer may inspect the proposed budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to final adoption of the budget by the Board.

WEIGHT ROOM / GYM USE: Due to construction in the small gym and demolition, community access to the large gym and weight room will be limited to school hours and staff availability until June 30th. Access will NOT be available starting July 1st. We will keep the community updated later this summer as the construction process continues.

BECOMING EMPTY: There has been A LOT of heavy lifting happening around the school and so many hands have helped make it easier. There are many rooms now down to what is being left for anyone who would like to take it. Please stop by tomorrow through Friday and talk to Dan or Jeff about items available for the public. Thank you to all the staff and students who have helped move SO MUCH STUFF!
