Hello Bulldog Families!
Wow…how the summer has gone! Whether you filled your summer with sporting events or county fairs, it seems that time slips away faster than normal. For many of our students we are but a short week away from welcoming them back through our doors. Prior to our official start date, we invite you to attend our Back to School/ Registration Night on August 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Below you will find a schedule outlining what time you and your child(ren) should attend to participate in the night.
This evening will be an opportunity for our elementary students, new and old, to visit their new classrooms and teachers as well as participate in a scavenger hunt hosted by our Bulldog Benchwarmers! At the completion of the scavenger hunt, they will be rewarded with a fun popcorn bar. With the incorporation of our 6th grade officially into Junior High, all 6th and 7th-grade students for the 23/24 school year are invited to participate in an orientation session. This session will allow them to meet their new teachers, find their lockers, and finally practice what it is like to transition from class to class without the hustle and bustle of a typical school day. Our 8th through 12th graders are invited later in the evening if they have any changes to their schedule that were determined in the spring of last school year. I highly encourage you to log into Alma with your secondary-aged student and look at their classes for this coming year. This will be your opportunity to make any changes and visit with the teachers about classes and finalize those changes with Mrs. Schumacher, our counselor.
All new students to the district at the secondary level, this will be your opportunity to register for classes in the 23/24 school year. Please review our “Peetz High School Course Catalog” to view the available options for your child. Please note the catalog states **In-Progress** as we are working on formatting and other clarifications for final publication. This will still serve to showcase all of our course offerings for the 23/24 school year. We will be glad to assist our new students that evening with any questions and guide them in accordance with our district’s graduation requirements.
Lastly, you may be wondering how you get into the school with all the construction! Fortunately, during this first phase of construction, we are only losing access and parking on the east side of the school. Our new Main Entrance will now be the west commons door located under the Bulldog Sign. Mrs. Toft has a temporary office located in the commons in order to perform our typical school day functions for our students and their families. A detailed map will be sent out through Alma that will guide everyone as to our physical plant operations which will allow us to function as normally as possible for the 23/24 school year.
