Peetz Plateau School District is proud to announce that the State of Colorado has given the rating of “Accredited with Distinction” to Peetz School for the 2022 school year. Often referred to as the District Performance Framework, the performance framework evaluates district and school performance on Academic Achievement, Academic Growth, and Post-Secondary & Workforce Readiness. The percentage of points earned across all indicators determines the final accreditation rating for a district or the final plan type for a school. 10% of Colorado School Districts received the rating of “Accredited with Distinction” and we are pleased that Peetz Plateau School District RE 5 can be counted amongst the top!
Our students, staff, and parents stand as a testament to what it means to persevere through difficult times. While many schools across the country have struggled from learning loss, attendance rates, and teacher retention. The Bulldog Family has triumphed over all of these and so much more. Our parents value in-person learning for their children and work diligently to keep students healthy and attend school every day. Our teachers work overtime to make sure students receive rigorous instruction, consistent progress monitoring, and develop a classroom environment that is nurturing and supportive. Finally, our students show a resilience that should be commended as they continue to value their learning and education. Students continuously show a fervor to learn and be a part of the Bulldog Family each day.
We also want to thank the Peetz School Board and administration for listening to the needs of all of our stakeholders. Through their efforts, they continue to provide families, students, and teachers with the necessary tools, programs, and opportunities to succeed both academically and socially. Thank you for believing in our mission statement, “To positively influence students to be knowledgeable, skilled, and self-reliant learners”.
Not since 2017 has Peetz School received this rating and we look forward to the challenge of maintaining this accreditation level. We thank our stakeholders for entrusting the education of their children to Peetz School. As our enrollment grew by 22 students this year and is projected to grow more each year, we welcome new Bulldogs to the family and will strive to build strong values around education into their lives as well!
