Spring Testing sessions

Dear Bulldog Parents,

Our 3rd grade through 8th grade students will begin taking the Colorado Measure of Academic Success (CMAS) tests beginning March 29, 2022.  The 9th through 11th grade will be assessed using the PSAT or SAT during the week of April 11th.  All tests will conclude the week of April 11th

CMAS is administered each year across the state and the tests are a common measuring tool for Colorado students. The results help both parents and educators understand if students have mastered the content they need to know by the end of the school year as well as how our students are doing in comparison to other students in our school, our district, and across the state.  In addition, CMAS, PSAT, and SAT results are used to calculate our school's “report card” as determined by the state.

This year we will be providing breakfast each morning to those grade levels that will be testing, and we ask that you help us to ensure your child is getting a full night’s rest during the testing window.  Movement breaks will be integrated throughout the day to make the testing experience more comfortable for our students as well.  We are confident in our students’ abilities and look forward to seeing the results of their efforts.  Information specific to your child’s testing schedule will be sent out by the classroom teacher prior to the start of our testing window.

The following CMAS assessments will be given this spring:

  • English Language Arts (Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
  • Math (Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
  • Science (Grades 5 and 8)
  • PSAT (Grades 9 and 10)
  • SAT (Grade 11)

If you have any questions in regard to CMAS testing, please reach out to Mr. Forster or Mrs. Schumacher at the school.  You can also visit:  http://www.cde.state.co.us/assessment/generalinfo-parents

Respectfully,

Mr. Mike Forster
