MISS RODEO 2027! Despite her broken leg, Peetz student Courtney Fehringer won Miss Rodeo Logan County 2027. Courtney has been competing in rodeo queen events for eight years now! She has won two titles: Miss Rodeo Logan County Sweetheart 2024 and Miss Rodeo Logan County 2027. She earned the title on August 3rd by giving an improv speech, modeling on crutches, and an interview. This title is a big deal! She will represent the county for a full year and will be the ambassador for the Logan County Fair and Rodeo. Courtney said, “Morgan Duncan inspired me to go after this title when I was 8. She was a great influence while I was growing up.”
The biggest struggle during the competition was competing with a broken leg. Courtney was training a colt, and the horse slipped and landed on her right leg. She had surgery two days before the event, and competed in the events she could do on crutches. However, she is proud that she still competed despite the many doubts. Winning felt amazing to her, and she was relieved that all her hard work had paid off despite what had happened. “I’m looking forward to being a part of the program again and representing my county with my Sweetheart Jaiden Gerk.” Upcoming parades, any county event that needs volunteers, the National Western Stock Show, Peetz Homecoming parade, and the county fair. She is most excited to attend events, meet other rodeo queens, and share the love for the sport. We are so proud of our Senior Bulldog!
